Notebook Cooler
The purpose of a notebook cooler, also known as a chill mat or cooler pad, is to reduce the temperature of the notebook.
Usually, people will use a notebook cooler when the design of the notebook or the outside temperature makes it necessary. In this case, the notebook cooler will sit beneath it, and will have either two or three fans that will help cool down the notebook.
In most cases notebook coolers will take power by USB from the laptop they're cooling down. In some cases they will have their own power cord.
As for the way they work, there are two main types of notebook coolers: those that blow cool air and those that draw the heat from under the laptop.
Studies made on notebook coolers showed that they can reduce the amount of heat by up to 20%.
