How To Choose One
As with many other tech related products, the choice of notebook coolers is difficult when you consider how many models are available and how many options you have for each type. Here are some tips on choosing a notebook cooler, depending on what you need and what they have to offer.
Aluminum vs. Plastic
Cheap notebook coolers will usually be made out of plastic, but this material doesn't conduct heat very well. In such a case, the cooler's housing doesn't do much, with all the job being left on the coolers.
A truly good notebook cooler will have a housing made of aluminum, since it works great at getting the heat away. Not to mention the extra durability of this material when compared to plastic.
The Angled Top
In some cases, notebook coolers will be flat. In others, they are angled and the laptop's keyboard will slope towards you.
Make the choice between them according to your own situation. If you're going to use the notebook at a desk, go with the angled top cooler.
Air Down, Air Up
Some notebook coolers will blog the air to your laptop's bottom, while other will suck air and eliminate it through the back or the bottom of the notebook cooler.
Choose one based on your laptop's configuration. If your laptop has vents that suck air from the bottom, a cooler that pulls the air away from them isn't recommended.
